"Good News" from the Archdiocese

Last week 45 parish and Archdiocesan schools
and PSR programs received some GREAT news! 

We announced $760 thousand in Beyond Sunday academic capacity enhancement and transformational innovation grants for the 2017-2018 school year!  The transformation of Catholic education starts in July when the grant money will be distributed.  The awarded schools will immediately benefit through initiatives such as makerspaces, outdoor classrooms, and even a “Parents as Teachers in Faith” program for families of newly baptized infants to carry them forward in their faith formation through to Kindergarten—(this one is really cool and innovative!).

Through the fruits of the Beyond Sunday campaign, we will privde support to parishes and schools for generations to come!

 Parish Share Distribution Check Presentations:
St. Francis Borgia - Washington

Father Joseph Wormek, pastor of St. Francis Borgia Parish, accepts a check representing his parish's first Beyond Sunday distribution this month, from Campaign Field Director Abby Cole. With this check, St. Francis Borgia plans to tuck point the church and fund repairs to the church's beautiful stained glass windows.
