ST. FRANCIS BORGIA GRADE SCHOOL AMBASSADOR PROGRAM CREATED FOR OUR NEW SCHOOL FAMILIES
Entering a new school can be both exciting and stressful. With this in mind, SFBGS has started a ‘New Family Ambassador Program’. The purpose of this program is to help families, who are new to SFBGS, transition into our school and to provide assistance throughout the school year. Ambassadors are current parents who volunteer to welcome new families and give them someone to call for answers to many of their questions. The goal is to ensure that each new student has a familiar face to greet them on their first day of school. If possible, families with students in the same grade level and gender will be matched. Home location will also be considered.
Families who would like to volunteer to be an ambassador family are needed.
The responsibilities of an ambassador family would be to call new families throughout the year to answer questions about school related policies, procedures, and school events. A visit or meeting may also be helpful to make it an easier transition for the students.
