October 9, 2020 -- Parent-Teacher Conference time is right around the corner and this year we are going VIRTUAL! Our conferences will be held on
Tuesday, October 27th from 4 pm - 8 pm, and
Wednesday, October 28th from 1 pm - 4 pm. The link above will take you to the conference sign up page where you can pick your time with your students teacher.
Not only are we going virtual this year, but we are also getting our Middle School classes more involved! For our 6th-8th Grades, these will be a Student-Parent conference. What this means is that your 6th, 7th, or 8th-grade student will be leading the conference independently, at your house with an agenda to follow and present to you showing where they are excelling and where they might need more help. We hope that this will encourage the students to take responsibility and ownership for their learning by involving them in goal-setting and help expand their communication.
We are asking that on Tuesday, October 27th or Wednesday, October 28th, you set a time to sit down with your student and have their conference with them. Our Middle School teachers will have a group Google Meet session set for their homerooms on that Tuesday evening at 7PM (link will be sent by the teacher), where they will give an overview of their class. They will also still reach out if they feel that a conference is needed and will set up a Google Meets video conference time with you. You will be able to sign up for one with them as well if you feel it is needed.
As in previous years, there are sign up options available for specialty classes as well. We can't wait to share your child's accomplishments with you! As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions. Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we navigate through this new school year!
