Gretchen’s love for literacy began right here in her hometown of Washington, MO! After attending St. Gertrude Grade School and St. Francis Borgia Regional High School, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Drury University in Springfield, MO. In 2006, she graduated from University of Missouri-Columbia with her Masters in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction. She was a First Grade teacher in the Blue Springs, Missouri School District before moving back to her hometown of Krakow, MO.
Gretchen is excited to be at SFBGS and share her love of reading and learning with everyone that enters the doors! As a teaching librarian and STREAM teacher, she will work with students grades PRE3 through 8th. She cherishes this community and all of the friends and family in it. When she’s not at school, she enjoys everyday adventures of all kinds with her three active kids & her husband Brett.
