Marcy's educational and professional background has afforded her the experience of working with a vast array of clientele and has allowed her to recognize the importance of flexibility and adaptability as a therapist. She began her educational experience with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She has worked in the health care field for seventeen-plus years. One of her most loved jobs was working with the mentally ill as a CAN. This is when she went back to school to get her Masters in Marriage and Family therapy. After she obtained her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, she began working in two different clinical settings.
During her short time as post-graduate therapist, Marcy has worked with a wide range of clients. She has come to realize that her areas of expertise enthusiasm is working with clients/families. Her experience includes working with cases involving severe trauma, addictions, family conflict, depression, anxiety, as well as other mood disorders.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Marcy likes to work with the system. We are very much system-based thinkers in our practice and teachers, staff, and family are a part of the children’s system. She might call on faculty to be a active participant in the mental healing and growth of our students.
Marcy encourages feedback and is open to your thoughts as the school year goes on.
